Replacement F5 key for the Apple MacBook Magic Keyboard – available as keycap only, scissor switch only, or as a complete keycap + switch set.

Original Apple part, carefully removed from a MacBook keyboard, cleaned and function-tested. Fits MacBook Air 2020–2026.

Which part type do I need?

• Keycap Only – the cap on its own. Choose this if the scissor mechanism underneath is still intact and clicks properly.
• Scissor Switch Only – the scissor mechanism that sits under the cap. Choose this if the cap is fine but the key feels dead, wobbly or will not clip back in.
• Keycap + Switch – the complete unit. The safest choice if the key is missing entirely or you are not sure which part is broken.

Installation

No tools and no soldering required. The keycap clips onto the scissor mechanism; the mechanism clips into the metal retainer on the keyboard plate. Press down evenly until you hear a soft click, then test the key.
